Biography / 03

Scientific biography

Han Zhongchao is one of the world's leading scientists in stem cells and regenerative medicine. His discovery of the mechanism by which hematopoietic stem cells differentiate into vascular cells underpins modern protocols of cell therapy and vascular regeneration.

Across more than 40 years of research he has published over 600 papers, developed 8 first-class therapeutics, and earned international recognition in both France and China. Today he leads the scientific board of Han's United and the International Cell Valley in Shangrao, bridging the French academic school and the Chinese clinical base.

Under his leadership, Han's United became the first company in the world to launch an industrial bank of placental stem cells, and one of the few whose therapeutics have secured IND approvals both in China (NMPA) and in France (ANSM). This dual-regulatory foundation is a cornerstone of trust for patients from Russia, Europe and Asia.
