Anamnesis

Chén**, age 6, 37 jin (~18.5 kg), 110 cm. On 2022-02-20 at Shanghai Xinhua Hospital (上海新华医院), diagnosed: spinal cord space-occupying lesion (cavernous hemangioma), paraplegia. Hemangioma rupture with bleeding compressed the neurons. Underwent surgery at Shanghai Xinhua Hospital, currently in rehabilitation at a Shanghai rehabilitation center. Per the patient: minimal awareness of urination and bowel urges, no control. Slight sensation of urinary urge, no bowel awareness. Catheterization used for residual urine evacuation, mild urinary tract infection, no perineal sensation. Reduced foot and calf muscle strength, thigh muscle atrophy, muscle strength grade 3, can stand independently only briefly.

Treatment plan

UC-MSC: 2U intravenous + 2U lumbar puncture, 3 consecutive administrations at 15-day intervals.
