Anamnesis

Wáng*Jūn, male, age 45. In March 2024, routine health check revealed fasting blood glucose 6.23 mmol/L, HbA1c 6.1% — no treatment initiated. BMI elevated. May 2024 follow-up showed fasting glucose 7.58 mmol/L, HbA1c 7.0%.

Treatment plan

June 2024: perinatal NK 2U IV + mesenchymal stem cells 9U IV, once monthly, 2 consecutive administrations.

SchemaNK 2U ×1 + UC-MSC 9U IV monthly × 2 cycles
Therapy
NK perinatalUC-MSC (umbilical cord MSC)
Delivery route
Intravenous (IV)

Outcome

After one course of mesenchymal stem cell therapy with regular follow-up, the patient is no longer taking oral hypoglycemics. Fasting glucose now within normal range, HbA1c around 5.6%. Stable glycemic control achieved, further progression prevented.

Physician conclusion

No adverse reactions observed. Stem cell infusion increases islet β-cell count, effectively regulates glucose and insulin levels, improves islet function, and controls insulin resistance.
