Anamnesis

Féng*, age 61, has suffered from spondylitis for many years. Examination markers significantly elevated: C-reactive protein 25.7 (normal < 5), ESR 79 (normal < 20). Accompanied by anemia: reduced red blood cell count, hematocrit, and hemoglobin.

Outcome

Per the patient — marked improvement, pain reduced. Examination: CRP decreased to 10.7, ESR decreased to 15, anemia fully resolved.

Background

A chronic progressive disease that primarily attacks the joints and can cause other systemic disorders. Morning stiffness is a common symptom of ankylosing spondylitis. There is currently no radical cure.
