Anamnesis

Fàn**, male, age 6, weight 21 kg. Speech not fluent, articulation unclear, vocabulary limited. Understands most speech, no purposeful intentional behavior. Indicates needs through gestures. At age 4, EEG showed abnormalities; at age 5, EEG normalized. History of epilepsy controlled with medication. Neuron-specific enolase (NSE) elevated.

Therapy
P-MSC (placental MSC)
Delivery route
Intravenous (IV)

Outcome

Per the mother: after infusion, the child became energetic, articulation clearer, slightly faster speech rate, cheerful and smiling, energetic, difficulty falling asleep due to excess energy. Appetite improved, bowel and urinary function normal, gaze more aware, voluntary actions appearing — thinks about situations independently. Can follow most instructions, more patient and focused in class. Currently working hard on pronunciation, sometimes overly excited, frequently screams piercingly.

Physician conclusion

No adverse reactions observed. Stem cell transplantation for pediatric autism effectively alleviates associated symptoms.
