Anamnesis

Yú**, male, age 73. On 2022-12-06 at Jiangxi Provincial People's Hospital (江西省人民医院), clinical diagnoses: 1) pulmonary space-occupying lesion; 2) arterial hypertension. On 2023-02-10 at Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital (上海市肺科医院), discharge diagnosis: 1) left lower lobe malignant tumor. Pathology report 2023-02-07: (left lower lobe dorsal segment) malignant tumor (favoring adenocarcinoma). On 2023-02-07, VATS resection of the left lower lobe dorsal segment under general anesthesia was performed; symptomatic supportive treatment postoperatively; discharged in good condition. On 2023-04-10 at Shangrao Fifth People's Hospital, PET-CT: postoperative changes after lung cancer resection with chronic inflammatory changes in the surgical area; minor inflammation scattered in both lungs and small inflammatory lymph nodes in mediastinum.

Treatment plan

Perinatal NK immune cells, 2U intravenous infusion, two consecutive administrations.

Outcome

The patient's condition is good, with normal diet and bowel function. Previous targeted medication continued at once daily; antihypertensive medication reduced from twice to once daily with normal blood pressure. Follow-up labs: complete blood count, glucose, lipids, liver and kidney function within normal range. Lymphocyte subsets slightly reduced.

Physician conclusion

No significant adverse reactions. NK cells, as an important component of innate immunity, play a meaningful role in anti-tumor immunity.
